The Venice Biennale, one of the biggest global art events, kicks off this weekend

Art transcends the limitations of time and space. Which is perhaps why it is so universally appealing. But it also has the ability to spark something ineffable in us. And starting this weekend, Venice aims to capture all that and more with the 2022 Venice Biennale.

The Venice Biennale is one of the most prestigious art showings in the world. Art connoisseurs, artists, and those who simply love the form, all gather to see the exhibits from all over the globe.

With 213 artists, over the next seven months, you can see installations that are surrealist, modernist, and even absurdist. No joke, a trip to Venice sounds more artful than ever before and we’re here for it.

This year, Cecilia Alemani is the curator of the Venice Biennale. Talking about her exhibition The Milk of Dreams, she said in reference to the exhibition coming back after two years, “What was very challenging was the total lack of certainty.”

But the art scene is thriving again. And this time, the world (literally) is our oyster!
