Tems, a Nigerian musician, is taking the world by storm, one song at a time
Music has the unique power to belong to everyone all at once. But, sometimes, music has the power to make us belong, too. And Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Tems’s music does just that. From healing to mental health, Tems lets her music make everyone belong.
The afrobeats and R&B performer was recently featured in the Wakanda Forever trailer with her cover of Bob Marley’s No Woman No Cry. She, however, isn’t a newbie in Hollywood. In fact, she has Grammy accolades under her belt, as well as collaborations with Drake and WizKid.
If you’re looking to try some of her music out, a good place to start would be her EP If Orange Was a Place. Talking about which she said, “After I healed, I let everything go and I started to live, I started to enjoy life. And this is what that EP is. It’s like a sequel. After healing comes life, comes fun, comes vibes, comes dancing.”
So, if some dancing and healing seems like your vibe this weekend, you can listen to Tems’ music here.
