Where you are: Each room at The Postcard Mandalay Hall is called a gallery, and rightfully so. With the rooms getting new artwork every two years, staying in one feels no less than an artful experience. Complete with other exclusive touches like handpicked furniture and accent walls, these rooms provide you with just the inspiring escape you need.

What to eat: Kerala is perhaps best known for its delectable cuisine. You can visit അ, or Aah — which is the first letter and sound in Malayalam. To be fair, it’s also the sound of enjoying a good meal! The restaurant offers contemporary Kerala cuisine – taking local and traditional flavours and adding a global touch to them. The chefs recommend you give the Konju Moilee a shot (Konju means prawns and Moilee means coconut gravy). In Kerala, raw mangoes represent the beginning of summer, and so, you can pair your meal with some Green Mango Slush. The drink is a relishing mix of sweet and tangy with a sprinkle of red chilli and salt. You can also try Chemmeen Ada, a spiced, cooked prawn filling that is stuffed in the Pathiri (flatbread made with parboiled rice).

Where to go: Kochi is known for its diverse cultures and breath-taking sceneries. You can check out the heritage walk that will give you a peek into the Dutch, Portuguese, British, and Jewish influences that make this city unique. You can also visit Fort Kochi (which is walking distance from the hotel), Kerala Folklore Museum, or one of the many art galleries. And on the way, you might even spot fishermen at work using Cheena vala or Chinese fishing nets.
