We all know about whale watching from the shore or a boat, but have you ever thought about swimming with them? No, this isn’t a trick question or anything, for Tahiti allows you to swim with humpbacks and other migratory whales. This is a completely ethical and safe adventure, so you don’t have to worry about any harm coming to anyone. The marine mammals have been recognized as legal persons by French Polynesia, New Zealand, and Australia, which ensures better protection for them, as well as the people working with them. While you can’t hug a whale quite yet as the permissible distance to keep is about five metres, it still sounds like the greatest swim ever.
