Night of Show has everything you wanted to know about the backstage experience
Ever wondered about what goes on behind the scenes in the green room when your favourite artist is on tour? Or perhaps get a glimpse into what happens in between a soundcheck and the actual concert? All these questions, and more, are being answered in the quirkiest way possible.
Welcome to Night of Show, a podcast about concerts, musicians, organisers, and everything in between. Hosted by well-known concert promoter Adam Wilkes and bestselling author Tom Wright, the show dives deep into Adam’s own memorable moments from his career so far in showbusiness, iconic moments in pop culture history, as well as their own personal experiences as concert goers.
However, it must be mentioned, and the podcast takes great pains to make it clear that it isn’t simply concerned with chatting about how amazing or astounding some event was. The wittyness is supplemented with the knowledge of two backstage veterans, as they take you through every process and every member of the backstage staff.
After a short first season consisting of six episodes, the podcast is set to return with a longer season this year. We can’t get enough of Wilkes’s stories featuring Kenny G, or the astounding story behind the return of Prince, which inspired Michael Jackson to attempt to make his return too.
Filled with more amazing stories, including a Jackie Chan anecdote featuring the host, this is our go-to music podcast for now.
