Using numbers is still a nightmare for some of us. Literally. But, numbers can be useful in making a compelling argument, or even a presentation. So, how can you use them better?
? Use them wisely: Understand the context of your argument or proposal and weigh whether a number is going to help drive your point or not. If it helps, do not hesitate to add it in.
? Draw comparisons: The best way to bring numbers into your presentation is by using them for comparison. The qualitative nature of what you present gets an add-on of credibility and context with numbers, especially when they are used to show progress.
While one of the best parts of being an adult may be not studying for Math exams anymore, numbers can still help us in ways we don’t always see. It’s easier than it seems.
