You know how some days, no matter how hard you try, you just feel distracted. Studies show that our minds wander up to 50% of the time. And while the world can be a distracting place, there is, thankfully, a hack some scientists swear by to help you stay focussed. That is the Ten-Second Rule (no, not the one with the food falling). 

Essentially, all you have to do is take frequent ten second breaks in between tasks. It’s almost like allowing yourself to have a designated distraction window. It can have an incredible impact on both your focus and your mood. 

So, if you want to ignore distractions, allow yourself the ability to be distracted. It’s easier than it sounds.
